Camping Hi-ho

If life were more like camps.

If life were more like camps I could introduce myself to everyone for the first time. No reputation to cloud me, no history to explain, no expectations, no premature judgment.

If life were more like camps we would have fun at the beach, in the middle of a rainforest, by a trickling river, or in a quaint village because all we have to think about is the “now”. No future to obsess about because as long as camp is in session, time freezes for us.

If life were more like camps we won’t fear strangers or carry pepper sprays because we are in our own little universe where i know you and you know her so she knows him who also knows me, and we are all family.

If life were more like camps we wouldn’t feel lonely because that would be breaking the very first rule about camping: “Nobody will ever be lonely at camp”.

If life were more like camps we would be more spontaneous with our actions, we wouldn’t plan too much, we would tell the people who really matter how much we care, because camps always have deadlines and we don’t want to wait until it is too late.

Bring me to camp, bring me my escape.

Tell you something ah...

I finally watched "Secret" yesterday after hearing so much about it from LiShan, Angie and most of all Si Rachel Yang Tak Boleh Stop Ber-Babbling.

My jaw dropped twice during the movie.

First was when Jay Chou (the obvious reason why the only people who recommended the movie to me were estrogen saturated females) was playing the adapted version of Chopin's Waltz. FUYOH! the hands flying here and there, the fingers moving with such elegance very YENG leh!

I decided dy, next time if i have a son im gonna drag his lil butt for piano lessons so all the lil girls will swoon over my handsome boy boy *beams*. He will be a normal naughty lil boy by day, then by night he will transform to this elegant gentleman by a grand piano, wow. Never mind that his dear old mother after years of piano classes can only play "Doe a Dear" and "Chopsticks".
Then... if i have a girl, i will drag her screaming lil butt to drum or guitar classes. So when some cheeky boy tries to serenade her and steal her heart away with "More Than Words" on a acoustic guitar she can pick up her own guitar and challenge him back! Haha take that, Casanova! My daughter the Rocker Chic!

Sounds like a little bit of role reversal there, guys playing piano and girls strumming guitars, but its just a thought haha.
Hehehehehe my children are going to be so miserable under my reign!

Ok back to the movie.

The second and last time my jaw dropped was at the ending.
I couldnt believe it lar, after all that drama hor i was expecting a more explosive or juicy "mimi" (means Secret in mandrin). I thought the so called BIG Secret wasnt so great lor... Haih.. make me so curious for nothing only...

Tell you something ah.. I also have a "mimi" to share.
I counted the number of steps from my studyroom to the kitchen fridge :20
So I'm going to close my eyes and walk there now, and the first thing i see when i open my eyes will be my true love : Ham Sandwich.
Dont think you will understand my "mimi" if u didnt watch the movie tho.

Gah..craving for a good movie. NOT craving for the upcoming exams.

I hate renovations

I AM GOING CRAZY!

Every morning i wake up to the melodious sounds of drills *dRrrRrrrrRrrill*

Then i have my lunch while tapping to the exotic sounds of hammers on nails *knock knock*

Evening tea is serenaded by the Grand Orchestra featuring a literally mind blowing fusion of everything and anything they can whip up! Literally mind blowing because i feel like my brain has the consistency of an oreo cheese cake left in the car for too long, i know because I've seen an oreo cheese cake being left in a car for too long before.

I have a theory...if i just shake my head a lil i will hear the remnants of my brain sloshing inside my skull.

*nod up, nod down, nod sideways*

Yup, its true. its sloshing.

Argh..these subang people ah... of all times to have your house renovated why now? Why during my holidays?

Wait... I think they've stoped. =)
Aaaahh... nice to hear myself think again...

I remember we had a lecture on the adverse effects of noise polution, there was stress, hypertension, fatigue hmm... was depression on the list?

GaAaaaaAaah they are at it AGAIN.
Will this madness ever end? What i would do to be in a quiet library right now.

Thou shall love thy neighbours. Thou shall love thy neighbours. Thou shall love thy neighbours. Thou shall love thy neighbours. Thou shall love thy neighbours. Thou shall love thy neighbours.
Thou shall love thy neighbours. Thou shall love thy neighbours. Thou shall love thy neighbours.

Possibilities

Words = truth
Smiles = happiness
Hugs = affection
Running = escape
Flying = freedom
Sleeping = rest
Shadows = darkness
Candles = light

I beg to differ.

Sometimes people look at you and with the *snap* of their fingers think they have you figured out. In their minds is already a rough sketch of you, what type of person you are, what kind of laugh you have, what kind of humor you posses, how well read you are, how capable you are of taking care of yourself, and sometimes… even how far you will ever go in life.

And if we are not careful, we might just find ourselves molding our very person to fit their idea of us. We turn that sketch of theirs into a full blown Picasso Oil Painting complete with a matching frame.

Don’t let anyone tell you what they expected of you. Tell them you are going to paint your own portraits from now on.

Words = excuses
Smiles = camouflage
Hugs = suffocating
Running = fear
Flying = searching
Shadows = faithful company
Candles = harsh exposure

Do consider the possibilities

In the middle of the night

It is 2.30 in the morning and the plan was to just browse a few more sites before going off early to bed to get shut eye for tomorrow's morning service.

But somehow everywhere blog i visit, the central theme has been FOOD. Either recipies, new restaurants to try or reunion dinners...

Then a sudden realization hits me: I dont want a big house in the future anymore, because as it is, it is already such a pain to leave my room go downstairs to satisfy my hunger pangs.

Gonna go roll about and decide whether or not to make that long journey now.

...roti kosong would be good at a time like this.
