Stupid love songs
I listen to allot of slow songs when i study. And most slow songs are love songs.
(Actually come to think about it, most songs are love songs, or songs about the lack thereof)
I usually like lovey dovey songs, but today i feel like a grouch. Like Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street. The green thing that sits in the dustbin outside Big Bird's apartment. His job in the show is just to be miserable, grouchy and scold everyone *chomp*

Anyways.
You know in those little love songs, those oh-so-romantic ones when you fall in love with a stranger.
It begins by sitting beside her on a train, or brushing against her arm exiting a french cafe, or maybe just spotting her across a busy road. Then it continues with words describing her beauty, how she captures the light and seem to have an air about her. Now we reach the chorus, by now you are planning your whole future, her as you inspiration. The things you will see together, the days you would spend, the places you would visit gradually with every line seem so real so possible.
Nice songs. Good for studying in the library, gives you the feeling at least others are living adventures beyond the grey walls.
But what they dont sing about is how later, after the last verse you become a shrunken chicken and never say the things you so boldly declared 3minutes ago. Give it another 10 minutes or so, you spot her with a dark suited guy, your heart is broken. For about a half an hour. Then you're busy falling in love with the next stranger who walks with 2 legs.
Humans can be pigs.
Why i so like that ah? Why i wanna burst other people's bubble?
People out there wanna listen to nice sweet love songs let them lar, why i must kacau?
I also dont know. I need to watch some comedy.
Yes, some Liang Po Po would be good.

While you were in the jamban
I started by singing me newest all time favourite song " Casablanca"
Then Lesley says " Eee i dont really like that song lar, can please stop?"
Then i opt for "Hello" my second newest all time favourite song.
Then Lesley says " Err..ok maybe just stop singing period. Fullstop."
WHyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?
But it's alright, it's ok, i can sing now cos she's in the jamban.
Study lar Denise.

PMS-ing
every dream tied together in a pair of eyes,
every breathless hope sealed within a pair of lips.
Have I allowed the glass slippers and spinning spindles wonder too far from yellow pages?
Even so, this a childish slumber I wish never to grow up from.
I am no poet, no sweet nightingale of love, no mysterious lady of secrets.
But even the coldest of winters are allowed to dream of spring.
Should the spindle sting or crystal slipper cloud beneath murky tears, at least we'd know once for all that old folk tales do come true, just now for those we expect.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PMS-ing is horrible!
And you guys who think we are exaggerating it, oh you have no idea what you are talking about man, its baaaaaaaaaaad. So make sure you treat the ladies right.
By the way i watched "Breakfast at Tiffany's" last week after the CNS paper. Always wanted to watch it because of Audrey Hepburn (who btw was gorgeous), but couldnt find it until Ian Zing told me i could rent it from VideoEzy. I loved the song "Moonriver" she was singing at her window with her guitar. Anways when i was hit with the dreaded PMS, i remembered a conversation from the movie.... about the....... MEAN REDss:
Holly Golightly: You know those days when you get the mean reds?
Paul Varjak: The mean reds, you mean like the blues?
Holly Golightly: No. The blues are because you're getting fat and maybe it's been raining too long, you're just sad that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?
Paul Varjak: Sure.
Holly Golightly: Well, when I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there. If I could find a real-life place that'd make me feel like Tiffany's, then - then I'd buy some furniture and give the cat a name!
Hehe ya i thought she was talking about PMS-ing when she mentioned "Mean Reds" too =p
Of course Audrey Hepburn is probably too classy to talk bout menstual pains in a cool holywood movie lar, but it was an interesting quote =)
French Fries
hehe guess you know what i had for lunch huh?
Well said Ms.Happyslip! "Dont hate my french fries!"
Why must good food always be so bad? Everyday now i look forward only to 2 things, the first being lunch and the second being dinner, sometimes even on the verge of obsession. Oh boy, not looking good tummy. I mean i like fruits and veges, i think they give a very fresh clean taste to the palate, but nothing gives that satisfying kick as something savoury and warm, ya feel me? How people like my sis can eat a watermelon for lunch befumbles me, i eat it because images of people having to do my "big business" for me is just too disturbing, but i never developed the love for it.
oOoh want to try fried cockroaches with me if i EVER save enough money to go to Bangkok?
Counting from today it's about 30 more days to EOS. Sounds like allot of time, like i can still have time to berchilling but when i realise the work to be finished in the span of 1 month hehe not a very nice thought. So the amah hairbands, heavy textbooks, gothic eye bags, undone laundry, caffeine, dry pimply skin, and random food cravings return.
not to self: Dont be a chicken Denise! get yourself some guts!

Sunsets vs Sunrise?
I don’t know what I am doing here exactly. Come evening time means a day is done, 24 hours, spinning a full circle on our earth, that much time gone, that much time closer to the end. And I can’t help but feel powerless standing here watching it pass me by. You never truly realize how fast things around you are moving until you observe the changes that happen in that brief 10 minutes we call sunset. The change it scenery is so stark. Day time is beautiful. Night time is equally as enchanting. But it’s the transition between the two that is scary. You watch it move from one miracle to another entirely different miracle, but u can’t capture that, you cant hold it or ask it to slow down for you, the magic of unstoppable change. You look forward to the new night but you are afraid you will forget the day gone by.
So...
Sunsets or Sunrise?
Everyone is entitled to favourites.
But i don't see myself being able to choose between these 2:
David Cook or David Archuleta?
NOT that I'm comparing them to sunsets or stars that would be weird. and scary. and a lil like human worshipping eh? Just that they came to mind in a pair. ok that was irrelevant. ignore.
Oh...another thing that comes in pairs:
The journey or The destination (*ahem* Rooney? =P)
